Wildwood Manor Ranch is famous for our beautiful
trail rides on the Niagara Escarpment. Our horses are perfect
for riders of all levels, and we provide helmets and
hooded stirrups for those under 18 yrs. The horses are
dedicated to providing experiences to remember, and
our friendly staff will give you the adventure of a life time
for only $44/hr! (taxes included)

All riding is by appointment, please call by telephone
to ensure your booking. We do not accept reservations
via email.
Please ensure that you are on time for your appointment.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your reserved time.
Riders that arrive after their scheduled appointment will
be accommodated at the next available hour, if possible.

Located just one hour north of Toronto,
the trails at Wildwood are designed with variety and flavour,
always bringing excitement and adventure to your trail riding
experience. We have one hundred acres of wooded forests combined
with open fields, where you can walk, trot or lope...what
ever you're capable of. Please remember that all riding is
by appointment.
Our trails are home to many different types
of Ontario wildlife, including deer, racoons, foxes, squirrels
and chipmunks. Occasionally you might see a turtle on his
way to the lake located in our back fields. The horses are
accustommed to seeing such animals on the trails, and accept
them as being a regular part of their day.

Trails go out every hour. (*Note: you must have a
confirmed appointment to ride):
10:00 - First trail departs
1:00 - 2: 00 pm - lunch/no riding
6:00 - Last ride of the day (on weekends - please call for
last available riding time for weekdays).
Types
of Horses [back

We have horses for all levels of riding,
whether you want to go for a quiet walk through the forest,
or a gallop over the open fields! They are energetic, well
mannered and always eager to please.
The breeds of our horses vary at Wildwood
Manor Ranch; however, most of the horses are mixed with arabian,
morgan and quarter horse. The majority of the horses are born
and raised on the ranch, and our staff begin riding them on
the trails at two years old. When they mature into dependable
and reliable trail horses we present them to the public. For

The Guides [back

The people that work at Wildwood Manor
Ranch are friendly, knowledgeable and qualified. Depending
on the size of your ride, you may have one to four guides
serving to make your ride the best it can be. We can ride
up to twenty five people at once, still with the option of
walking, trotting or loping!
Our employees know the horses and the trails
inside and out! They train each and every horse and know the
temperaments and dispositions of those horses. Let us know
what type of horse you want, and they can ensure that you
will receive exactly what you're looking for.

We want you to have the best time at
our ranch, and we ensure a safe and pleasurable experience.
Everyone under 18 yrs of age is required to wear a safety
approved helmet, and all of our saddles have hooded stirrups.
Before each ride an instruction is given, teaching riders
exactly how to control their horses and how to maintain a
safe ride.
All of our trail rides are lead by our qualified
guides with back up riders to ensure every one is safe and
comfortable.

At Wildwood Manor Ranch we accept riders
from 3 yrs of age and up. Our experienced staff will walk
with or ride with children who are not fully capable of controlling
their horses on their own, or who may be a bit nervous. Beginner
riders are always welcome; we have quiet and dependable horses
that are excellent if it's your first time.
